Clovelly Hotel is a dog-friendly pub.
Dogs welcome throughout the venue, except in the bistro.
dinner - rump: steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavour but the “300g” could barely pass for 200g. pepper sauce was delicious. - fish and chips: very simple, can’t really mess it up, tartare sauce tasted homemade, great creamy dill flavour. - fish tacos: great flavour but the fish tasted like frozen packet fish. Hotel - the hotel room was lovely, beds were very comfortable and the room was well kept. our room overlooked the beer garden which provided great entertainment later in the evening - definitely not a quiet room but we were not bothered by this at all and fell asleep quite easily. bathroom was very clean; the only downside is the bathroom door is a barn door that is hard to shut all the way and leaves a slight gap so there is not much privacy. the hotel is a short walk to the lovely clovelly beach/swimming pool and is also just a step from a few nice cafes/restaurants. overall this is a great stay for a few nights in the city if you do not want to be in the middle of the CBD and would prefer a more relaxing experience, however, if you do not sleep well with noise I would not recommend staying here on a weekend.
Went there during the day last Sunday, The two blonde girls at the restaurant were lovely, helped us to decide what to eat. We aren’t from the area, they gave us lovely beach recommendations. Food was delicious!!! Would recommend.
Food was good, however, the service was frankly disappointing. We were served by a very rude young blonde woman. It was clear she would rather be anywhere else. She seemed offended when we came up to order and barely acknowledged us. During our transaction she went back to chatting with a coworker, complaining about other coworkers and customers. It really made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I’m glad I don’t live in this area. Definitely could do with some customer service training… and some basic manners.
I love the area. The Clovelly Hotel is the perfect location. Run, walk swim, snorkeling all at your door step. Great coffee & breakfast across the road. Great food at the pub. I will be back again. Great staff. I wanted to thank Katie for her wonderful smile and service ❤️
Stopped in for quick bit. Real sports bar with aussie feel. Huge TV screens and plenty of room. Nice and cool on a hot day. Food was fresh and hearty. Big outside area.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
