The Carrington
The Carrington is an exceptionally dog-friendly pub where dogs are part of the everyday scene, both indoors and out. It has a relaxed, social feel, and it's not unusual to see dogs settled throughout the venue.
Out the front, there's a toy swap setup where you can exchange dog toys, adding something a little different to the experience. It's a place that leans heavily into being welcoming to dogs.

This pub was made for dogs! Dogs inside the venue and all over the s furniture!!
This is a great dog friendly pub but the food was so disappointing. $34 for a roast dinner that was inedible. The lamb was 70% fat, potatoes boiled and undercooked and the Yorkshire puddings were like fairy cakes. Frozen ones would have been better. A great spot for bringing the dogs for a drink but unfortunately would not eat here again.
Situated in the quieter part of Bourke Street, the Carrington really has a local feel and if you don’t like dogs, do not come here. I think we were the only table that didn’t bring one. The staff were friendly and helpful. The drinks were on the higher priced side but they do have a happy hour. If you feel peckish the chips are thin and yummy.
We absolutely love this place, however it is unbearably hot inside the front area of the pub. It was exactly the same temperature inside and out, on a 32 degree day. Despite this, the cocktails, service and food is phenomenal. The workers are incredibly friendly and it’s a lovely local pub vibe. Please fix the aircon!!
Great pub in Surry Hills a little bit further away from the Main Street. Great Guinness and fantastic Schnitty. Really friendly staff and noice atmosphere
