I had a fried chicken sandwich from here the other day and it might be the worse meal I’ve ever had the displeasure of paying for. Tiny portion of chicken, lank onion rings, unmelted cheese, gross sauce, and all of it totally soaked in grease to top it off. I will not be returning, im open to this being a single bad item but I can’t believe it when they have the audacity to serve something this bad.
As a coeliac I’m very happy I discovered this place! When I walked in I asked if there was any gluten free option and I was handed a separate gluten free menu! There were “red” options that could be made coeliac so I felt very safe eating here. The food was delicious, the staff lovely and the prices fair. Definitely recommend it!
nice hot cakes in Surryhills. Crispy, soft and fluffy.. they have everything... Should try their signature menu..
Amazing menu, lots of great options both sweet and sour. I loved salmon avo on sourdough and sweet potato fries.
Lumière Cafe is more than just a café — it’s a place where mornings begin with warmth, beauty, and a sense of belonging. There’s an incredible energy here, one that draws in not only beautiful people but beautiful souls. Breakfast was an artwork on a plate: a perfectly crisp toast topped with velvety salmon cream, ripe avocado, pickled onions, a soft poached egg, and a generous handful of fresh sprouts. A squeeze of lemon brings it all together in the most vibrant way. Every bite was a harmony of textures and flavours — light, nourishing, and absolutely delicious. The staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, adding even more joy to the experience. Without a doubt, Lumière has become one of Sydney’s most charming spots for gentle mornings and meaningful connections. Whether it’s a quiet solo moment or a tender catch-up, this place wraps you in comfort and care.
