What people say
Jellybean Pool is freshwater swimming down in a valley/cliff. Wooden planks form wide bush stairs along the trail. Park at the top for free or pay for parking to drive closer. Lower levels of paid parking are fairly full on Sunday 28 December. Lowest parking level still requires a walk down stairs to the water, which is surrounded by rock to sit on. Trees and shade around water but mostly open. Moss on rock in the water so be mindful to wear darker pants if sitting. Stairs are steep when walking back to the car when it's at the very top in the free parking, but it's still fairly easy, we were talking and walking for much of it, and I'm currently overweight. Young/fit people seem to do the walk easily, my sons did (18yrs and 8yrs). Hand rails for safety at certain points. We walked in thongs. Cleared stair ways and walk ways, crossings at carparks. There's quite a few points where you need to step aside and let others pass, but it's a fairly safe track. Plenty of places to jump into the water off rock, but make sure there's nothing below like submerged branches etc. Shallow enough for kids at water entry on sandy rock, but it drops off to extremely deep. Tannins from nature colour the water, but it's clear and fresh, you can see right through the water to the bottom. The dark areas are extremely deep, please be mindful of children and those who are not strong swimmers.
Nice walk, leads to some cool areas including a swimming hole. Does get a bit busy but it's really nice still.
Enjoyed the track, good variety of conditions.
Lived it, Anice track with beautiful bush walks, a couple of beautiful, clean lakes to swim, picnic area and camping ground!
It was an Amazing experience. If you want to go hiking, go early in the morning. Take 2 liters of water in a small backpack and a cap π§’. Also install the App Emergency Plus in your mobile phone for your safety.
