Jellybean Pool is freshwater swimming down in a valley/cliff. Wooden planks form wide bush stairs along the trail. Park at the top for free or pay for parking to drive closer. Lower levels of paid parking are fairly full on Sunday 28 December. Lowest parking level still requires a walk down stairs to the water, which is surrounded by rock to sit on. Trees and shade around water but mostly open. Moss on rock in the water so be mindful to wear darker pants if sitting. Stairs are steep when walking back to the car when it's at the very top in the free parking, but it's still fairly easy, we were talking and walking for much of it, and I'm currently overweight. Young/fit people seem to do the walk easily, my sons did (18yrs and 8yrs). Hand rails for safety at certain points. We walked in thongs. Cleared stair ways and walk ways, crossings at carparks. There's quite a few points where you need to step aside and let others pass, but it's a fairly safe track. Plenty of places to jump into the water off rock, but make sure there's nothing below like submerged branches etc. Shallow enough for kids at water entry on sandy rock, but it drops off to extremely deep. Tannins from nature colour the water, but it's clear and fresh, you can see right through the water to the bottom. The dark areas are extremely deep, please be mindful of children and those who are not strong swimmers.

Nice walk, leads to some cool areas including a swimming hole. Does get a bit busy but it's really nice still.

This beautiful lake at the base of the Blue Mountains is the perfect place to take your family or friends to have a quiet and peaceful time together. There's plenty of parking for a small fee and it's a short walk through the lush bush down into the lake.

An Unmatched Summer Oasis in the Blue Mountains Jellybean Pool is an absolute treasure and the perfect reward after a bushwalk. We had an amazing time here with our group, enjoying the unmatchable natural beauty, great food, and fantastic company. Here is why it is highly recommended: The Ultimate Swim Spot: The water is incredibly inviting. Some of us had a relaxing dip, while others completely soaked it all in on inflatable rafts. It’s a wonderful, safe place to float around and cool off. Perfect Picnic Setting: With beautiful sandy banks and flat rock platforms surrounded by dramatic sandstone cliffs and gum trees, it is an excellent place to set up a picnic. Relaxing by the water with sandwiches, fresh fruit, and snacks made the day even more special. Great Group Atmosphere: It's a highly rewarding and accessible spot to bring a community of friends for a classic summer day out. 💡 Quick Tips for Visitors: Park Entry: There is a $8 AUD vehicle entry fee to national park areas like Glenbrook, unless you hold an annual NSW National Parks pass. Arrive Early: It is a very popular spot, especially on warm weekends, so getting there early ensures you secure a great picnic area by the water. An absolute must-visit if you are exploring the region! Happy trail... #hikingdiarybyabid
