Burnum Burnum Sanctuary
Burnum Burnum Sanctuary is an on-leash park on the Woronora River with a mix of open grassed areas and bushland walking tracks. It's a popular meetup spot — the Hobbit Hounds rescued greyhound group walks here every Sunday, and the atmosphere is consistently friendly. There's fishing access, BBQ facilities, a playground, and clean toilet facilities. The scenery along the river is genuinely pleasant, making it a good option for a longer on-leash walk rather than just a quick visit.
Dog rules
Dogs are permitted on-leash at Burnum Burnum Sanctuary. Sutherland Shire Council requires dogs on-leash at all times in public reserves and spaces unless within a designated off-leash area.

The Hobbit Hounds (rescued greyhound owners group) meet up every Sunday to walk our gorgeous dogs through the park. This is a very family friendly park with lots of things for the kids and adults to do sitting on the Woronora River. There are tracks from the playground up into the sanctuary for a lovely easy bush walk.
Nice park and nice location, close to waterways though. Gardens and grass generally always maintained. Bins located at the entrance to the play park, a lot of litter gets left in the park.
