Cooper Street Reserve is a well-equipped Engadine park with a big playground, a walking track and picnic spots. Dogs are welcome on-leash, in line with Sutherland Shire's general on-leash rule, and the loop track makes for an easy walk. With toilets and BBQ facilities on hand, it is comfortable for a longer visit. A pleasant, family-friendly on-leash park.
Dogs are permitted on-leash at Cooper Street Reserve. Sutherland Shire Council requires dogs on-leash at all times in public reserves and spaces unless within a designated off-leash area.
This is an awesome park 🌳🌲🌿🌾 With a big play area for the kids, a walking track that goes all the way around, toilets and restrooms. Along with picnic areas, tables, chairs and bbqs! This place has it all its mostly fenced in, beautiful big trees, lovely scenery with friendly vibe. Its dog friendly on the lead. Our dogs loved it 🐶🐶🐶 Towards the back there is also a skatepark and half basketball area too. Highly reccommend its a 5 out of 5 from me 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Cooper Street Reserve in Engadine is one of those rare suburban parks that genuinely caters to every age group, from toddlers to teens to parents who just want a breather. What used to be a simple green space has evolved into a vibrant, multi‑use community hub — and it shows the moment you arrive. The standout feature is the massive fenced playground, easily one of the best in the area. It’s thoughtfully designed, with equipment that encourages climbing, balancing, imaginative play, and full‑body movement. The fencing gives parents peace of mind, and the layout means kids can roam with a sense of independence while still being safely contained. There’s plenty of seating and shade, making it a comfortable spot to settle in for a while. Just beyond the playground is the skate park, a magnet for older kids and teens. It’s well‑constructed, with smooth surfaces, varied lines, and enough features to keep both beginners and confident riders engaged. Importantly, it’s positioned far enough from the playground to avoid collisions or crowding, but close enough that families with kids of different ages can still keep an eye on everyone. The parkour section is a brilliant addition — something you don’t often see in local reserves. It’s a creative, physical space that encourages agility, problem‑solving, and confidence. Kids (and plenty of adults) gravitate to it naturally, testing their balance and coordination in a safe, open environment. Surrounding all of this is the classic Engadine greenery: open grass, mature trees, and a relaxed, neighbourhood feel. It’s a place where families linger, teens practice tricks, and younger kids burn energy in a secure setting. Cooper Street Reserve isn’t just a park — it’s a genuine community asset, buzzing with life and offering something for everyone.
U will love this playground. Big playground, more variety, have water play. Slide. Swing. Bicycle / scooter track. Perfect for picnic. Have public toilet. Easy to park your car.
Incredible brand new playground, courts, small pump track and skate park. There are toilets and bbqs too. Mostly fenced. You could easily spend the whole day here. See parksandadventuresofsydney on Instagram for more.
Plenty of green space for kids to run around in or to have a picnic. We really enjoy the walking track with the pram. There are bbq facilities, toilets, bubbler and playground. I'm looking forward to the planned improvements as currently the playground isn't secure
