Jibbon Beach is a beach in Bundeena. Dogs are not currently allowed.
Dogs are prohibited in the Royal National Park, as in all NSW NPWS national parks (National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974).
Beautiful beach, clean sand. Relatively few people. Minus: there is no equipped parking, and on weekends all the nearby streets are packed with cars.
Boxing day every year we went there for our a picnic with another family where we had a great barbecue and scrummy salads. Christmas cake and neenish tart's are two of the desserts I recall. Then we played beach cricket. Visiting the beach yesterday it looked like it hadn't changed in the last 30 years or 40 years since I'd last been there. In my mind I can still see the thrilling games of beach cricket being played. From spectacular saves, to awesome bowling with even a few mulligrubbers were seen to wobble the beach wicket. Howzat was frequently heard during the day. If you're going to go, take the ferry don't drive, there's not enough parking space over at Jibbon beach. People who drive only annoy the people who live there. Driving is so much longer and so much further and so far out of the way, you would be better served to take the Bundeena ferry from Cronulla wharf. If you are interested in aboriginal drawings walk to the other end of the beach, follow the well-worn beach tracks and you will come to some amazing rock carvings from a long time ago. Rumour has it, rumour has it that there is a nudist beach as well a bit further along...
Gorgeous "out of the way" beach. Water was super clear. Beach was sandy and clean. Great little bushwalk at the end with some aboriginal engravings. Locals are quite friendly. Parking was challenging but well worth it!
Peaceful and quite beach which is connected to the Jibbon loop track.Swimming is great here but be mindful that there are no surf life saving services provided. The water is also quite deep a few meters out. However no toilet and shower facilities here.
Love the walking track. A great place to escape from the city crowd and spend time with your loved ones.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
