I recently checked out Reminiscence Tapas Wine & Whisky Bar, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Walking in from the front on Macquarie Rd, you’d never guess how much space this place has—it’s deceptively roomy! The frontage blends in with the other shops, but once you step inside, it opens up into a surprisingly large setup. The indoor seating is plentiful, with a cozy yet classy vibe, and there’s a lounge area that’s perfect for kicking back with a whisky or cocktail. What really caught me off guard was the outdoor area out back—it’s a decent size, undercover, and tucked away among trees, giving it a peaceful, almost hidden feel. The tapas, like the lamb cutlets and cumin eggplant, were fresh and packed with flavor, and the drink selection is massive—plenty of wines and whiskies to choose from. The staff are super welcoming, making you feel right at home. If you’re in Springwood and want a spot with great food, heaps of space, and a relaxed atmosphere, Reminiscence is the top pick

Just Wow! This place can not be faulted! The food is outstanding! The service is impeccable! The atmosphere is lively, the furnishings are comfortable and elegant. There is an extensive range of alcohol that must be seen to believe. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and room for larger gatherings. We ordered 10 dishes off the Tapas menu and we wished our stomachs were bigger! Thank you guys for an enjoyable night and a special thanks to Ellysa for taking our order and checking in on us throughout the evening. I would give you 10 stars if I could!

Went tonight with my wife. The venue has a great vibe, the cocktails were excellent, and the happy hour offers really good value. The food was also tasty. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by how we were treated. After just two drinks over the course of an hour, we were told we were going too fast and needed to take a break. I understand and respect RSA requirements, but this felt unnecessary, a bit insulting, and honestly quite disappointing. This is the second time it’s happened, and it completely killed the atmosphere for us. It’s a shame, because the place fills a gap that’s been missing in the mountains. But I won’t be returning if ordering a couple of drinks at a bar leads to being judged like this.

Invited friends for an afternoon celebration during happy hour. When was time to check out we were charged more than expected so I checked and then we were showed the Happy Hour Menu. This menu was never showed to us at our table. We obviously arrived for happy hour drinks so I found quite disappointing to not be shown this menu before we placed our orders. There was no real apology and we just had to pay what was on the bill. As a host of our gathering I felt terrible that this happened. The information on the website is unclear and misleading to think all beers are $9, wines are $10 and all cocktails are $12 unless you show us the happy hour menu on arrival. Very unprofessional service and unpleasant experience. It is a real shame because the food and ambiance is good, but service is always a problem every time I visit. Love supporting local businesses and I never write negative reviews unless it really matters. And this time it did. I wouldn’t like any other group of mums or any group to go through the same experience. Please show the happy hour menu to your guests on arrival.

I had an excellent dinner here with my closest girlfriends. Food was amazing and came out quickly before our show at the theatre. Something for the vegan, myself the pescatarian and our friend who eats meat. They also has a singer to entertain us that was excellent background music. Totally recommend.
