The Common South Coast

Dogs welcome
Dog rating

Updated 14 Apr 2026

The Common South Coast is a casual, outdoor-focused venue that centres around a small indoor bar area with most seating set out the back. The space has a relaxed, open layout that works well for sitting outside with a dog.

It can get busy on weekends and during summer, especially when there's live music, but the overall feel stays laid-back and local.

Dog rules

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas.

Please keep dogs leashed, calm, and under control for the comfort of all patrons.

Closest thing Culburra has to a proper pub and easily the best dog-friendly spot for a beer. Super relaxed, chilled family vibe, and they often have bands playing on weekends which adds to the atmosphere.

I am a regular at this venue and live locally , generally enjoying good service and happy that the venue is dog friendly . Called in on Sunday afternoon with a friend at 3pm knowing closing time is 4.30 . We were told the kitchen was already closed so no food orders could be placed . I also was told no cocktails could be made as that area had been cleaned and packed up but we could order a beer or wine , then when I tried to order the offered beverages I was told actually we are closing early now with no explanation as to why and won’t serve you . Was very disappointed by the lack of service when trying to support local business

Good place to try some local beers. The IPA was delish, and happy hour from 3-5pm makes it even better! Nice atmosphere in the beer garden, and it’s dog friendly too.

We have been to Culburra a couple of times before and the only option for drinks was the Bowlo, nothing wrong with it but this place is way cooler and has a outdoor area. Really lovely, friendly helpful people, good choice of drinks including house brewed and other local beers on tap and in tinnies. As our 18 year old son said this place has a really mellow Aussie feel to it, like a modern beer garden. Outside area is dog friendly for on-leash friendly dogs. Reasonable prices and interesting local spirits. We only had some French fries but there’s other food like burgers and pork buns. I’m fairly sure there’s easy wheelchair access via the gate which is also recommended for prams and dogs. We look forward to coming back for another longer visit soon.

Welcoming, spacious spot with a really comfortable beer garden. The burger flavours are on point and the drinks menu is outstanding! Love their aperol spritz! Lovely bright atmosphere and a perfect place to relax with friends, well done The Common 🤍
