Paradise Beach Reserve is a well-regarded dog-friendly park in Sanctuary Point where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find shade, BBQs, and toilets nearby, while Providence Blue Cafe is around 400 metres away for an easy post-walk coffee.

Dog rules

Dogs are welcome on-leash at Paradise Beach Reserve, a Shoalhaven City Council park. Under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be kept on a lead and under effective control in public places throughout the Shoalhaven, except in Council's designated off-leash areas. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's play equipment and food preparation areas.

Great place to walk or take your dogs. The water is shallow enough to walk out to the deep, so clear & pets have a swim. Great for learning too paddle board or kayak too.

I popped past to check out a holiday home here. The views and space are truly spectacular, picture perfect. The was still and shallow but had an unpleasant smell. If you're not visiting with intention to swim, it could still be a great spot with plenty of space to explore, kayak, paddle board, that sort of activity.

At Sanctuary Point there’s a nub of land sticking out into St Georges Basin. This is home to a quiet residential neighbourhood sprinkled with holiday accommodation and amenities like parks, restaurants and the Jervis Bay Golf Club. On the west side of Sanctuary Point, tracing a bay, lies one of the best parks on St Georges Basin. For one thing, Paradise Beach Reserve faces west for knockout views from the walking track at sunset. There’s a children’s playground, barbecue and picnic facilities in the shade, toilets and outdoor gym equipment for grown-ups. The Basin’s calm waters, combined with the fact that the bay stays shallow for a long distance, makes this an ideal place for little ones to make a splash.
