Dogs may only pass through on a formalised pathway while kept on-leash. The reserve interior and other prohibited areas are not dog-accessible.

Dog rules

Gainsborough Chase Reserve is a Kiama Council sportsground in Kiama Downs. Dogs are permitted on-leash only on the footpaths around the outside perimeter — not in the park interior or on the playing fields. Dogs must not enter the field, oval or court while organised sport is being played. Dogs are also prohibited, on or off leash, within 10 metres of the children's playground equipment and within 10 metres of public barbeques and kiosks. Follow any signs on site. Kiama's designated off-leash areas are listed on the council's off-leash areas page. (Source: Kiama Municipal Council — Dog off-leash areas.)

A large open space with fairly modern play equipment. Has generous amounts of grassed areas and benches, plus some good tree canopy cover providing great shady spots in hot days
