First Drop Cafe Redfern is a cafe where dog access has not yet been confirmed — it's worth checking before you visit.
Used to be regulars and looking forward to their tasty spanakopita and cold brew. Neither are available anymore and the place feels like a shell of itself. Was basically empty on a prime time during the weekend when other cafes in the area had queues outside. Wshing the new owners good luck but gave it a try twice since and were very disappointed with the service, food/coffee and atmosphere. Also to the new owner, if you're going to berate your staff make sure you do it discreetly and not for the few customers to hear you going off at them..
Always great coffee and food, with friendly staff and a relaxed vibe. Never disappoints!! ☺️
I jyst discovered First Drop Cafe in Redfern to get brekky, it’s absolutely one of my faves now ! The bright, airy atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet coffee. The staff are warm, super friendly, and genuinely welcoming — you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The food is top-notch, beautifully presented and super tasty . Service is spot-on too — fast, attentive, and delivered with a smile. Easily one of my favourite cafés in the area! Thanks Pina and Trish 😊
I went there for brunch on the weekend with a friend. I had one of the best eggs Benedict for ever. She had simple Vegemite and toast. We both had lovely coffees. The staff were very friable and very accommodating and knowledgeable. Lively.
They don’t deserve a 1star because their sausage muffin was beautiful! Where they missed the mark is the service and hygiene. I had a very large hair in my food, and, while I would’ve let this slide as they took it off the bill (should be the case anyway when there’s a long hair in your food!) there was no apologies from the man who served us, no smiles when we came in, no clear direction such as “we’ll come bring you a menu, or we’ll come take your order soon” we sat there for quite some time not knowing wether we pick up our own menus or order our own food at the front. Honestly, this place could have been worthy of a 5 - but very upset in their service, hygiene and the fact no one seemed to really care about the customer. Highly disappointed.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
