Col Sutton Reserve is a dog-friendly park in Baulkham Hills.
Under the Companion Animals Act 1998, dogs must be on-leash at all times in all parks and public places. Dogs are prohibited within 10 metres of children's playground equipment and food preparation areas, from active sports fields during organised sport, public bathing areas, school grounds, and child care centres. Dog faeces must be removed immediately. (Source: The Hills Shire Council — Stay out of the Doghouse, thehills.nsw.gov.au.)
Today I went to Col Sutton Reserve, which has a long natural trail through a jungle. Most surprising part was when I heard sound of bells coming from all over. Being used to the bells tied on a yak in the Himalayas, I was really surprised. After some consultation, I found these birds are called bellbirds or Bell miner. They look very cute! This reserve has a reasonably well maintained baseball ground. It also has toilets which were open for use. There is a baseball ground here with facilities.
Nice small park. Baseball is played here, parking out front. Google maps however takes you to the wrong l9cation ( other side of park where there is no parking entry,)
There is just enough parking off road and and some on road. A 4 km walking stretch (including some passage cross roads). Washrooms and changing rooms.
We play baseball here and thought to take the grand kids there for a picnic and time in the playground. Well kept and maintained, you just need to remember to take all your own stuff. Plenty of local walks intersect at Col Sutton.
Glorious white sandy beaches, stunning scantily-clad women and free cocktails... You won't find any of these at Col Sutton. But apart from that, it's not a bad place to watch baseball
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
