The Bearded Cactus - Smokin' Brews & Family Diner

Never had I come across a 5 star review rating so I had to check it out while I was in Maitland for the weekend. Straight away as I walked in I got the cool vibes. Old school rock blues playing and a welcoming atmosphere (did come at a quiet time so not busy) Was met with friendly service and had a great friendly chat with the owners that run the the Bearded Cactus. They seem very proud and dedicated to make sure you feel at home. So these are the draw cards. Simple but tasty menu, $5 tap beer! $12 Friday margaritas! Live bands I believe on a Friday and also a nice looking outdoor area. Worth every start and if I could give them an extra I would.

Stumbled into this place on a work trip and was wary because they only had a handful of reviews. The reviews are true. This place has great food, great drinks and a great vibe. The staff seem like absolute legends too. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed

The best coffee I’ve ever had! The barista was incredibly friendly and passionate. The first sip amazed me — the creamy milk aroma and smooth foam blended perfectly with the non-acidic coffee, something I’ve never even found in regular cafés. It instantly lifted my tired body and refreshed my whole mood. Thank you Daniel.

Leah consistently makes the best coffee, Leah's mother consistently makes the best choc chip cookies, and the brisket salad is the bees knees of salads. A great place to meet friends and family for a delicious meal :)

The burger was delicious but the serving was so small - like a child meal. The diner is comfortable though, with board games and books/magazines on the shelf. Staff were friendly and the beers were nice.
