Steamhouse Cafe

Pies are very disappointing for $12, we had 2 different pies, plain and cheese and bacon and the sauce was extremely sweet either of apples or bbq sauce? No rich meaty gravy flavour unfortunately especially for a cheese and bacon pie and minimal chunks of meat. Very disappointed and i never leave food uneaten but this time i did, just way to sweet for a pie 🥧 😢

Was told about this place from some work colleagues, I do deliveries all over Newcastle area so I get to visit a lot of "good" bakeries... But this place did not disappoint at all!! Pies are HUGE and full of chunky pieces of brisket. Wli got the Jalapeno, cheese and brisket pie and was absolutely stuffed after eating it. You pay a bit extra but you get what you pay for I promise. Will absolutely be returning to try their curry sausage and cheese and bacon pies next time I come through!

What a lovely place lady that served us (i think one of the owners not sure) was so energetic and kind Was so happy we loved the food, we got told they make the pies in house! which is so cool and awesome, had the best cheese and bacon pie EVER it was so good would definitely come back again and they have ice cream which is awesome because no other place sells scoop ice cream in Branxton that i am aware of, prices where a little high but its only fair as we were told they have been open for around 8 months

Knowing how much of a train fan I am, I had to stop there at some point to see what was inside the cafe with coffee cup craftily dressed as an old American western steam engine. While there wasn’t any old railway themed memorabilia inside the cafe, the service is still as good as it gets. Any train buff should dine in there one time to check out the cafe that has train of some sorts as they’re mascot.

The food was amazing, lovely staff and great service. Definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be going back for more at another time. The waffles and ice cream was a 10/10 ⭐️
