The Union Hotel
The Union Hotel is a pub in North Sydney with an outdoor area. Dog access isn't confirmed, but venues with an outdoor area are often dog friendly, so it may be worth checking. Just 200m away, Ted Mack Civic Park is a great nearby park for a walk with your dog.

What people say
We had a good time hosting our cast and crew wrap party at the Union Hotel. The staff were helpful in arranging a package that suited our independent film budget, and they provided regular updates during the planning process. Our guests enjoyed the karaoke and photo booth, which the hotel kindly allowed and accommodated through Karaoke Players (Jack Ngu). The food nachos and buffalo wings being clear favourites on the night. The event itself was a success and the venue was flexible with our entertainment requests. However, there was a disappointing communication issue afterward, where a staff member had checked the wrong tab and quoted an incorrect credit amount, which was later revised the following day. While mistakes can happen, it would have been more reassuring if the original amount communicated had been honoured, as clarity and good faith are important in customer service and return of patrons. Overall, the night was enjoyable, but the post-event handling left some uncertainty. We will take this into consideration when deciding on future bookings.
Basic pub and pub grub but my last few experiences weren’t good, quantity of food was down and prices up. It is summer now, not sure why they still have “winter bowl” on the menu. They have everyday specials. Nothing extraordinary. The only thing I enjoyed are 6 jalapeño poppers for 15$
It's a great place for a night out with friends, and I would definitely return for the lamb shank. This is my fifth time here, and I'm happy with the food.
Had it been to the union Hotel for 40 years. Stating the obvious things have changed, And that for the better. Love the decor. Staff are very friendly. Both are upstairs and downstairs areas to eat. Do you love pubs that have photographs/images on the wall. Great time The background music wasn’t too loud, making conversation easy.
The new owners are slowly taking away all things that were great about this pub. Wifi for kids…gone. Great value for portion size…gone. Famous chips…gone. Awesome bbq sauce…gone. Here was my dinner tonight. Sorry guys, this is text book how to destroy a business. Do better.
