Badangi Reserve is a bushland reserve at Wollstonecraft with shaded tracks through the trees. In keeping with North Sydney's parks, dogs are welcome off-leash in the open areas, with dogs kept on-leash in the bushland. It is a leafy, natural escape close to the suburbs, though it is worth checking for any temporary access notices before visiting. A green off-leash reserve with a bush feel.

Was gonna do a small walk, it turns out to be so nice. Didn’t expect to be in a rain forest! Wonderfully surprised.
A comfortable walk near Oyster Cove, from Shirley road (continue Gore creek trail) finish at Sugar Works reserve, Horace Street, Waverton
It has a lovely little beach which joins to Berry Island during low tide. It doesn't take long to explore this reserve, but it has beautiful red gums, water views, and lots of steps if you take the track to Bridge End. There's another track to Oyster Cove Reserve and you can continue on to The Coal Loader and Balls Head Reserve. However, the track to Shirley Rd is quite boring and too sunny. I frequently see water dragons on the Bridge End track near the little bridge which has the wider stream. It's great for taking photos of the lizards.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
