Harold Park is a park in Forest Lodge with plenty of shade. Dog access isn't confirmed, but it may be worth checking.

Dog rules

Dogs are welcome in this park but must be kept on a leash at all times. Off-leash exercise is only permitted in the City of Sydney's 50 designated off-leash parks — this is not one of them. Dogs are prohibited from playgrounds, sports courts, and enclosed sports ovals. Please pick up after your dog — free waste bags are available at most parks.
