Absolutely blown away every single time ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food at The Pioneer is nothing short of amazing — fresh, full of flavour, and consistently top quality. You can tell real care goes into every meal. What truly sets this place apart though is the staff. They are incredible: welcoming, kind, and respectful, with the perfect balance of being able to have a laugh and a joke while still remaining completely professional. You genuinely feel valued as a patron the moment you walk in. A special mention has to go to Sarah, the Gaming Manager. She is so warm and welcoming, and it’s genuinely heart-warming to see the amazing way she treats not only us as patrons, but also the staff who work under her. That kind of leadership shines through and makes the whole venue feel even more inviting. Sarah’s bubble personality makes you smile even when you’ve had a bad day! From the gaming area to the bar and bistro, the service is outstanding across the board. Everything runs smoothly, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet polished. The cleanliness of the venue is next level — it instantly puts you at ease and makes dining there even more enjoyable. I highly recommend everyone head over to The Pioneer. Whether you’re there for a meal, a drink, or a game, you won’t be disappointed. This place gets it right on every level.

Wow, just wow I’ve never had a schnitzel so unbelievably delicate perfectly cooked. Not greasy. Juicy and so unbelievably tender I cannot wait to come back and do that again

Monday night gig with local music school students. All tables sold out. Great atmosphere. Meals took a little while to come out due to the pub being packed for the night. Understandable due to the time of f year. Great night was had by all.

To the amazing woman who served me last night 16th December in the gaming room at the tavern, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service I received. I've never felt so welcomed and valued as a customer. Your kindness and attentiveness truly made my evening special. It's rare to encounter someone who goes above and beyond to ensure their customers feel comfortable and appreciated. Your dedication to providing outstanding service did not go unnoticed. Thank you for making my visit such a memorable one."

My partner enjoyed the schnitzel. It was good value. Unfortunately the pie was not. I kept thinking why is this crust so average to what normal pub pies are like. Then realised that it was probably a frozen one from the supermarket. I've never been served a supermarket pie at a restaurant in my life. If I wanted a frozen pie I would have grabbed one for $5 and had one at home. Really disappointing. The Mash and both gravys were good and the onion rings were a pleasant surprise. Please make your pies in house or take them off the menu. It really ruined my meal and felt very misleading to expect a pie made by a chef. Edited to say staff were friendly and wait time was fine. Edited for spelling.
