What people say
We visited the cafe for breakfast while driving though Lithgow. The drinks were great. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. Portions were good. Food was served quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. The place was a bit crowded and noisy. The place is well decorated with lights and plants. Street parking is available, though it was hard to find a nearby parking spot during the holidays.
Food was on the pricier side but once it came I can completely see why, absolutely delicious, large serving and the servers were amazing, they took really great care of me, served everyone with a smile and great additudes and made the whole experience fantastic! Keep in mind I had my (very loud at times) 6 y/O son with me .
Hometown Cafe in Lithgow is an absolute gem. The pancakes were thick, fluffy, and beautifully golden, topped with fresh strawberries and served with three standout sides: rich berry compote, sweet mango curd, and maple syrup. Every bite was comforting and indulgent without being too heavy. I paired them with an iced coffee that was well-balanced, refreshing, and just what I needed. The ambiance is just as inviting as the food—cozy and full of character. With pastel pink walls, warm pendant lighting, fairy lights, and eclectic artwork (hello John Lennon and Bowie!), it gives off a quirky, retro charm that makes you want to linger. A perfect spot for a relaxed brunch or coffee break. Highly recommend dropping by if you’re in town!
A group of 12 of us arrived at the cafe this morning at 0730 with no booking (Didn't realise you can make a booking but you can!). We were welcomed and the staff proactively made up a table for our group and did everything they could to make sure we were accommodated. The service was outstanding and the Acai bowl was next level (unfortunately didn't get a photo of it!). Thank you Hometown Cafe for a wonderful Mothers Day breakfast experience!
Amazing food. We came with a group for dinner and drinks, and had a great experience. The peri peri chicken and lamb rack were so full of flavour. Sweet potato fries were great too. The service was quick and the staff were really friendly. The cinnamon espresso martini is definitely worth trying. Yum. They even allowed us to split the bill. Loved everything.
