What people say
The commercial hotel motel, conveniently located along the Main Street of Lithgow cbd, offering accomodation, food and beverage along TAB and keno gaming facilities. The kitchen offers a range of pub classics where are quite basic however standard for a pub style kitchen. The hotel is in desperate need for a renovation as it’s very run down. With plenty of potential. Staff are friendly and helpful, Reasonable price drinks with a decent range of tap beer , wines, spirits and RTD’s. Both indoor and outdoor seating, again furniture is mix matched dated and in desperate need or replacement, There js a car park to the rear of the building along with limited street parking out front. Good location.
The doora were not properly secured and there was big gap at the bottom where we had difficulties with cool entering in to the room and was too hard to hear up the room. Had to keep some cloth and our bags to control it. Other than that location was good and staff was supportive!
you are stuck in lithgow in 1949 and you find a cheap, warm, clean room here. you take a hot bath (there's a BATH here!) and go back to your room over creaking floorboards. the single pane window in your room looks over the old saloon. unfortunately in the future they'll plant a Supercheap Auto there, and a hundred cars will pass loudly on the road below at three in the morning. oh well. it's you who are there at the wrong time. go back. go back.
An unexpected stop here & the food & service were good.. It was pretty noisy on the night I stayed so it was hard to get to sleep. Bathroom was long overdue for an upgrade however the bed was comfortable.
Stopped in for lunch today and whilst the food was fresh (I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Burger and my brother had the Aussie Burger) that is where our experience gets the 3 stars. The pub part of this location is quite run down and is overdue for a refurbishment. In saying that, the staff that served us were very pleasant and helpful. Did not utilise accommodation so the review does not include this.
