Waterloo Park is a dog-friendly park in Marsfield. Just 150m away, Zig Zag Licensed Cafe is a nearby spot to stop in after your walk.
Dogs are permitted on-leash under the NSW Companion Animals Act. Dogs must be under effective control at all times. City of Ryde's Dog Off-Leash Areas page states these are the only areas where dogs may run free without a lead. This venue is not on the council's off-leash list; off-leash use is not authorised here. (Source: City of Ryde — Dog Off-Leash Areas, ryde.nsw.gov.au.)
Large green park good for talking a walk or having a casual picnic (not super scenic, but the grass is green, footpaths are in good condition, and the toilets are modern).
Great park for a walk in the morning or evening. However, they don't turn on the lights after sunset or during dark. Path is really good, almost a kilometer long. There is a kid playground as well and many water bubblers along the way. It even has a washroom, and ample parking along all the sides of park. Indeed, a very well maintained park.
Waterloo Park offers a big field for baseball, walking track, kids playground as well as calisthenics workout area. I would like the person in charge of managing this park to know that there are a good number of young trees that are almost dead or already dead (they require help till they establish) and there's a sick tree that also need care (possible disease or parasitic insects). This is pretty much the only tree that provides whatever little shade to the Calisthenics workout area.
Good recreational area including circular oval with surrounding level walkway, covered area with BBQ'S, fitness equipment, children's playground, climbing web, and basketball court. There is also an additional children's playground nearby.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
