Zarraffa's Coffee Coffs Harbour North

I visited here to get a coffee fix on my way passing through, but the service was not great. I'm not a Zarrafa's regular, and I was trying to order a fusion off the menu. The staff member asked me if I wanted to add one thing and other thing, which I assumed were regular free additions like when you visit other coffee chains and they ask if you want whipped cream. That's a question I often get because I have a milk alternative. Imagine my surprise when the total ends up being over $2 more than what the menu pricing is. I work in hospitality and sure, I understand upselling, but that was deception. You can't suggest adding a thing that's not even on the menu without mentioning it's gonna be an extra dollar. The staff member did not tell me the new total and it was only when I'd mindlessly tapped my card and paid when I realised. When I asked, the clarification was very unclear other then because I'd said yes to the things they had offered adding (again, without mentioning said costs). I wasn't about to get into an argument and ask for a refund, especially because it was busy. This was appalling, dishonest customer service and has absolutely no place. If I wanted to spend over $10 on a drink I'd go to a pub. The staff need to lay off and listen to their customers, or you'll find people getting very frustrated and turning to more honest places. Don't get me wrong, the drink was great, but not worth $10. I wish I'd gone elsewhere so I had a few more dollars in my pocket to spend on the next coffee.

Sky consistently makes excellent lattes with lovely art on top. Beyond the coffee, Sky is extremely professional, polite, and respectful to everyone, especially older customers. It’s rare to see such genuine kindness and customer service — highly appreciated. ☕✨ She’s always smiling 😊…

Came through on holiday and had lunch and some frappes the workers were so nice! And there frappes were amazing!!!!! I’m soo fussy and when I find a good frappe I tell everybody lol we can back again the next day before heading out and the owner was in and his daughter recognised from the day before so his wife gave us 3 free frappes vouchers! which we used on our way back home such lovely people so kind and friendly will definitely be back on our next holiday! Thank you again 🫶

I'm not a local around this area, but I have heard great things about this particular Zarraffa's Coffee before I've visited there. I went to Coffs Harbour for a holiday a few days ago, and decided to pop in here yesterday morning. The place might have been a little busy that morning, but the staff were still really consistent in preparing everyone's orders ready in a timely manner. On top of that, the food was delicious and the service was absolutely amazing! I look forward in hoping to return here someday, especially in trying more of their menu and discovering new favourites! Also, those little pizza melts are to absolutely DIE for 🤤

I had a wonderful experience thanks to Supervisor and Barista Sky. The coffee was consistently well-made, fresh, and full of flavour. What truly stood out was the customer service — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Sky’s professionalism and positive attitude made the visit even more enjoyable. You can really feel the care and effort put into both the coffee and the customers. Highly recommended! ☕✨and she’s always smiling 😊 best Flat white she made.
