A nice safe beach for swimming with plenty of space for families to have picnics Lots of options for eating nearby. A great location to relax and a large club across the road and accommodation.
One of the nicest beaches for families 🏖 🏝 Safe and close to amenities ( restaurants, pubs, toilets and others…) Heaps if parking spots around and locals are very friendly 👏 Highly recommended to bring your own tent, beach umbrellas and lot of cold water! It is kinda hot here and SUV will burn out your skin! Some of many good things are beautiful view, quiet, cozy, family environment, and safe 👏
Good for a day trip from Sydney via train to WoyWoytram. Then catch a bus to Ettalong. Back to Sydney in the boat to Palm beach and catch a bus to Wynyard
Ettalong is a vibrant waterside town on the Central Coast’s southern peninsula, where the tranquil waters of Brisbane Water meet the dynamic, sometimes turbulent currents of Wagstaffe Channel and Broken Bay. This convergence creates a unique coastal atmosphere, with the calm serenity of the bay contrasting beautifully with the more dramatic, wind-swept scenes near the channel
I've visited Ettalong Beach this afternoon (Saturday 10/8/2024). It's easy to get here by public transport, just stop at Woy Woy train station, then catch a bus in front of Woolworths/Public Library directly to the beach with just a little bit of walking from the bus stop to the beach. The bus drivers here seems to be very nice when you ask for directions to the beach and from the beach back to the station. I really appreciate that as my phone was nearly die and was frustrated where to catch the bus and where to get off. The beach was quite quiet during this time of the year. And I really like the mountain views from here.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
