Small, north-facing, sheltered beach ⛱️. Good for swimming, but not a lot of sand. Amenities: BBQs, covered picnic tables, and toilets. Walk to Toragy Point cemetery and lookout nearby.

Shelly Beach is the most protected swimming spot at the entrance to the Moruya River, which was welcome on another day of big swells and wild surf. Set in the @eurobodalla National Park, which keeps it clean and pristine, it’s worth the 6km detour from the highway. At the eastern end of the beach you’ll find a picturesque picnic area with outdoor showers (really good, high pressure, untimed ones!) toilets, picnic benches and barbeques, all near the free parking area.

Just the most gorgeous spot, a lovely sheltered beach. Not many people. Our kids gathered shells and frolicked like porpoises.

Unfortunately due to the fires, lots of heavy rain, and king tides, there is a lot of debris on the beach. Locals have tried to clean it up and it's much better. Its a safe beach for families and you can still catch waves on a body board.
