The whole Callala Bay area is one of the best places in Jervis bay. It offers almost everything a family seeking a fun weekend or an extended period of stay away from the madness of city life. The beaches are pristine and quiet, the water is almost always calm with almost no currents. There are good walking tracks, picnic spots, and other places to visit within a short drive.

Beautiful beach with crystal clear waters and not populated during hot times, nature at its best

Beautiful and peaceful. Close to interesting sites like the lighthouse and Jarvis Bay

Went there on a dull day but it was still a beautiful place. The sand is whitish and firm to walk on, the beach slopes gently and is generally calm and safe for families. There were a few groups of people near where we parked the car, but on the beach itself, very few.

Callahan Bay is beautiful, there's no other way to describe it. It's about 25 minutes from our place but it's always nice to go there. The water is lovely and clear and, where we go, is mostly protected from the wind and there's even a couple of shady spots to sit when it's really hot out. There are a few shops if you need to get lunch as well.
