Callala Beach is a beautiful Jervis Bay beach with a designated off-leash stretch on seasonal hours. From October to April dogs are off-leash from 4pm to 8am, and from May to September from 3pm to 10am, with on-leash access in between. The stunning, welcoming setting makes it a lovely spot for a run and a swim. A peaceful dog beach for the off-leash window.

Dog rules

Off-leash is permitted in the designated foreshore reserve during restricted times: from 1 October to 30 April, off-leash 4pm to 8am; from 1 May to 30 September, off-leash 3pm to 10am. Dogs must be on-leash at all other times. Dogs are prohibited between Parkes Crescent and Centre Street, and at the southern end south of the Beach Street carpark at Myola.

It's a nice beach with plenty of things to offer! The beach itself is lovely. The sand is clean and soft, perfect for walking barefoot or lounging under the sun. The water is clear and inviting, making it great for swimming. I felt safe taking a dip, and it's especially kid-friendly with gentle waves and shallow areas. Callala Beach is spacious, providing ample room for families and visitors. Even on busy days, you'll always be able to find a spot to set up your towels and beach gear. It's nice to have that sense of space and not feel crowded, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the beach at their own pace. What makes Callala Beach even better is the availability of nearby restaurants. After a day of fun in the sun, you can treat yourself to some delicious food. There's a pizza restaurant and a fish and chip place, giving you options for a satisfying meal. It's convenient to have these dining options within walking distance, allowing you to enjoy a tasty bite without having to travel far. Overall, Callala Beach in Jervis Bay is a fantastic destination for beach lovers. It's a nice, clean beach with plenty of space for families and visitors. The swimming conditions are great, making it safe for kids to splash around. And let's not forget the added bonus of having nearby restaurants to satisfy your hunger. So, if you're looking for a beautiful beach getaway on the NSW South Coast, Callala Beach is definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful stretch of paradise with fine white sand and blue water. Plenty of access points from the roads to the beach itself. Who doesn’t like taking a dip in the ocean or going for a relaxing walk on the sand.
