Really nice food nice and crispy fish and chips cooked too perfection. And the new renovations look so good leather, dark wood and forest green accents. The outdoor area is now half covered which i think is a great addition and new kids playground is made out of entirely dark stained wood which again really matches the new aesthetic

Had a lovely lunch at Chittaway Bay Tavern. Menu choices to suit all tastes. Has large outdoor play area undercover for the kids and multiple areas to sit for a drink watch sport or eat in air conditioned comfort.

First time trying pub. Chicken taco was all coleslaw not much chicken for a chicken taco. We also ordered bacon, sweet chilli garlic bread, found a hair whilst eating first slice. Partner continued to eat it as I found a second hair on another slice. Returned it and lady was nice and gave refund back. Partner had a parmi chips were luke warm nothing exciting unfortunately. Parmi just tasted of mozzarella & Parmesan cheese. Couldn’t finish anything. Cocktails are yummy and service was wonderful.

Behold, gentle reader, and lend thine ears to a tale of culinary wonder so magnificent, so resplendent, that even the angels themselves would forsake their heavenly banquets to partake therein. I speak, verily, of ye humble publique house, that most unassuming tavern whose wooden beams creak with age, yet whose kitchen doth blaze with divine purpose. Upon crossing its threshold, I was smitten aye, smitten as though struck by Cupid’s own arrow with the scent of roasted delights drifting through the air like perfumed winds from some enchanted grove. The very tables trembled beneath platters of such splendour that kings would trade their crowns, and queens their jewels, to savour but a single bite. First came the chips nay, not chips, but golden shards of celestial glory, crisped by the breath of dragons and seasoned with the very dust of Olympus. I did take one, and it did shatter upon my tongue like the breaking of dawn upon the mountaintops. I wept. A single tear rolled down mine cheek, for I knew I had tasted perfection. Not to mention the delicacy they call aioli. For my tastebuds jumped with utter delight upon touch. Then was I presented with the paragon of all earthly creations: the bruschetta. O harken! For this was no mere bruschetta, flat and forgettable as found in lesser taverns. Nay, this was a slab of ambrosial wonder, pounded by the gods, crumbed by the saints, and bread purer than the tears of a unicorn. Its crunch did resound like thunder; its tenderness did rival the embrace of a long-lost lover returned from distant shores. The chicken! Sweet heavens above, the chicken! As crunchy as a sword smiths first attempt and as rich as the coffers of ancient emperors. Had I a goblet of that sweet sweet aioli, I would have drunk of it as though it were a sacred elixir, and rejoiced unto eternity. And let us not neglect the humble calamari. Though in truth, there was naught humble about it. Each slice lay before me glistening, shimmering, as though carved from the very sun and anointed with the breath of a thousand fragrant gardens. To tear into it was to know joy unbounded, joy untethered, joy that could rouse the dead from their eternal slumber. By my troth, never hath mortal tasted feasts such as these! ‘Tis a pub, they say—but nay, I proclaim it a temple, and its chef a high priest of flavour whose ladle is mightier than any sword. Go forth, good traveller, and seek this wondrous hall, for within its walls thou shalt know rapture, delight, and gluttonous ecstasy beyond compare.

Meals were good. Seniors discount was appreciated. Staff were friendly. It was very noisy, with children being allowed to run everywhere without parental supervision. Probably not the best choice for an older group to meet & chat.
