Gerringong Park (also known as Old School Park in Kiama Council records) is a highly rated dog-friendly park where dogs are welcome on lead. You'll find shade and toilets nearby. Some conditions apply, so it's worth checking before you visit.
Dogs are permitted on-leash on the footpaths around the outside perimeter of this park only. Dogs are not permitted in park interiors. Dogs are also prohibited — on or off leash — within 10 metres of children's playground equipment, within 10 metres of public barbeques and kiosks, on sports fields, ovals and courts during organised sport, and in public bathing areas. Kiama's designated off-leash areas are listed on the council's off-leash areas page.
Fantastic little park right in the heart of Gerringong. There are a few unusual and fun parts I've not seen at other parks, and plenty of green space and benches too. There are also shops, cafes, restaurants and public toilets all within walking distance.
Great little park for the kids. Shaded and plenty of area to sit and watch the kids have a blast.
This is a lovely spot for a family with young children to stop and rest / play for an hour or so. The kids can run around while the parents have a coffee from one of the close-by cafes. The park area is well zoned and shielded on three sides from traffic - however there is no fence, so you do need to be on watch for the littler ones.
Great spot to let the kids run around while having a coffee from one of the close by shops. Plenty of space to run wild. The park area is well zoned and shielded on three sides from traffic. There is no fence on the highest part of the park where the playground is though. We were constantly worried and busy keeping one of our little ones to run on the road.
Great tent and van park with high quality and clean facilities. Has a good mix of permanent cabins, tent and van sites. 7 mile beach and the crooked river are both very close and were both quiet and safe environments for our young children to explore and enjoy. We recommend heading into Gerringong for any food supplies from the IGA there and there is a bottle shop around the corner too.
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
