Nature-oriented swimming on the original rocky coast with natural pool. Do not experience a large beach.

Boat Harbour Reserve, Gerringong is a hidden coastal gem, perfect for a relaxing day by the sea. Nestled between rocky headlands, the reserve offers stunning ocean views, a peaceful atmosphere, and a great spot to unwind with family and friends. Today, we enjoyed a warm, sunny day here, with a light breeze making it even more comfortable. The grassy area was perfect for a picnic, and the kids had fun exploring the rock pools at low tide, discovering crabs, tiny fish, and colorful shells. The small, sheltered beach made for a safe paddling spot, and we even spotted a few dolphins swimming in the distance. Fishermen lined the rocks, trying their luck with the local catches, while others simply relaxed, soaking in the natural beauty. The public amenities, including toilets at nearby Cooke Park, were clean and easily accessible. As the afternoon sun started to set, we took a leisurely walk along the coastal track, enjoying breathtaking views of the waves crashing against the cliffs. The golden light reflecting on the water was the perfect way to end the day. Boat Harbour Reserve is a peaceful retreat, ideal for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to escape the crowds and enjoy Gerringong’s stunning coastline.

Lovely spot for rock fishing, swimming in the rock pool or having a look through the rock pools filled with lots of sea life like starfish, sea urchins and crabs.

Top spot - really loved poking around the tessellated rock platforms. Great views and a nice little bit of parkland where we enjoyed a sandwich. And it's so close to Gerringong village
