The Blue Goose

The Blue Goose made for a great lunch spot, with excellent coffee and really enjoyable food. ☕ Coffee: The coffee was good and the latte art was impressive. Temperature and texture were spot on for a dine-in cup. 🍽️ Food: Everything we tried was good. The Phat Goose was a standout — a really thoughtful mix of flavours and easily the highlight of the meal. 😊 Staff: Staff were warm and welcoming, and it was clear they knew many locals, giving the place a friendly neighbourhood feel. Service was smooth throughout. 🎨 Decor: Inside, the café has plenty of personality with considered décor that makes it feel inviting. Outside signage was a bit mismatched — things like Coca-Cola meal-deal posters detracted slightly — but once seated, the space felt cohesive and pleasant. 📍 Location: Very convenient spot just off the main high street. Easy parking and proximity to a nearby park/playground made it a relaxed and accessible visit. 👶 Kid-friendly: Highchairs available and a solid kids’ menu, I did see some colouring as we were leaving but we didn't get any, might need to ask. Overall, I’d happily return for lunch again, especially for the Phat Goose.

Love this cafe! Their acai bowl is absolutely delicious - tastes yummy and leaves me feeling fresh and energized! The ingredients are clearly fresh and of high quality. Staff was good, friendly and attentive. Perfect for a healthy breakfast or snack. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this cozy local cafe and was pleasantly surprised! The food is fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced—great value for the quality. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a relaxed meal, it’s a solid choice. The ambiance isn’t fancy, but it’s comfortable and welcoming enough to enjoy a good chat or some solo downtime. Definitely one of those spots you’re glad to have in the neighborhood.

Situated off the main street the foot traffic is a lot less intense at this cafe which makes the overall feel more relaxed then its counterparts on the main drag. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff and friendly and attentive. The coffee is Toby’s Estate which is expertly crafted into your favourite cup by a very competent barista. The food is hearty and well prepared using fresh ingredients. There isn’t anything really exciting on the menu, nothing out of the box as far as creative flare goes but it’s all your usual suspects. It’s a great spot if you are ever in Gerringong and the value for money is pretty good too.

The food was ok - presentation can definitely be worked on. Having chosen to go here based on previous reviews, we were disappointed for sure. Our waitress was lovely, but one of her colleagues was rude to us after my daughter spilt water on the floor. The way she spoke at us will ensure we will never visit this Cafe again, what a shame!
