AMAZING! Had a green juice (which was refreshing & okay, but how good can a bunch of veggies cold pressed be?) and an Eggs Benny with avo on the side. BEST Eggs Benny of my life. It was served on a sourdough crumpet with a side of the most fresh, delicious greens and sauce to die for. Well done team. It was a well balanced dish. I’m looking forward to trying Shelter for dinner next.

Everything is done with excellence and must be experienced to be able to enjoy such a great cafe restaurant. The Batch Brew was top notch, the food is so well done.

Visited on Saturday and had a fantastic experience. We booked the 2pm sitting and although the venue was lively, it never felt crowded-you could comfortably enjoy conversation without feeling cramped or overhearing others. Our waitress was excellent: warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. My dietary requirements were handled effortlessly, which was greatly appreciated. The oysters were incredibly fresh, and the fish was delicious, perfectly paired with the greens. Service timing was spot on, and we were even treated to complimentary drinks due to a minor in-house error. A beautiful experience overall-thank you, Team Shelter. We’ll definitely be back.

Hands down our favourite restaurant — everything about this place is unforgettable! Set right by the ocean, the Shelter has the most beautiful ambiance — warm, coastal, and calming, with stylish decor that feels both relaxed and refined. The energy is effortless, and every detail just works. The service is flawless — friendly, genuine, and perfectly paced. You feel cared for without ever being rushed. And the food… absolutely exceptional! 🦪 The oysters were a visual masterpiece and tasted like the ocean — fresh, cold, and pure. 🥩 The scallops, stacking-style, were delicate and elegant. 🐙 The octopus with Korean peanut pesto was our favourite — smoky, tender, packed with flavour. 🍞 Even the sourdough with umami butter was incredible. 🌮🍸 And the Taco Margarita? Bright, bold, and totally unforgettable. From start to finish, The Shelter is an experience — thoughtful, delicious, and full of heart. Already dreaming of our next visit!

Our first time patronising the establishment. Perfectly made food all around. I had the pork rib eye which was cooked superbly; tender and juicy with a touch caramelised. My partner had the burnt beetroot with ginger sambal. Again, it was put together well to make it nice and unique. Dessert was the dark chocolate mousse which was again, perfectly put together with a genuine dark, chocolaty flavour. We certainly hope to return again.
