XS Espresso Prestons

The gluten free pizza base was nearly inedible, I pretty much broke my teeth on it when I tried to bite it. But I give them 4 stars because the staff member who took my complaint was really lovely and gave me a refund (although she did say the chef said the gluten free base was “supposed” to be that way, which I can assure you, as a someone who has Coeliac disease for over a decade, I have never ever encountered a gluten free base that difficult to eat). I actually banged a slice of the pizza on the table to show my friends and it sounded like a hammer. But, very happy with the service and their drinks are good so I’ll likely return but not order food.

XS Espresso is our absolute favourite spot! We always come here for their amazing coffee — especially the pistachio latte and chai latte. The churros are perfectly crispy and delicious every single time. The vibe is great, staff are super friendly, and it’s just our go-to café for any mood. Highly recommend!

Stopped for lunch and coffee on the way to work. The coffee is consistently good at XS and so was this one. I went for the chicken waffle and it was quite nice. Sweet waffle with savory chicken and think potato slices. Not for the the slim figure but good for a rainy afternoon. My colleague had the pasta which he liked a lot.

Went there this morning on a friend’s recommendation—definitely didn’t disappoint! Big shout-out to the team, especially Glerose who served us. Loved the mocha Belgian coffee, and that big breakfast? Yeah, it’s actually huge! Keep it up, guys.

I get it. You had to reduce the quantity of Açai bowl. But, you don’t have to trouble customers in eating it. I don’t get it why you had to put it in such a small plate and served even without a base plate. I had to specifically ask for a base plate so that I don’t spread it in your table. You used to serve it in a real bowl. It’s not a bowl anymore..No way in comparison to your website’s illustration of this bowl. The quantity got reduced almost half to what you were serving in the past and price has been increased too. Sweet potato wedges was great though…
