My husband and I were recently affected by the Koolewong bush fires and the team at the Bayview kindly took us in and looked after us for 18 days while our house was being tended to by emergency services. The rooms upstairs are budget but worth it for the price you would pay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and always looked after us! The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere and the food was excellent every time we ate! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a meal, drink and friendly atmosphere!

My room, room 7, did not have a lock mechanism inside. Meaning the room could only be locked from the outside. Some woman entered my room when I was in it hopefully because they got the wrong room and not because they were attempting to steal. They cried in panic as they tried to get into the adjacent room where their partner was. There's no cameras in the hallways so I was completely cooked if something happened, or if I was asleep at 1am when it they entered. I moved the bedside cabinet in front of the door for my protection after that. My friend, who had room 4. Got told by some random woman, "that door doesn't close right", the door itself looked like it would come off the hinges if anyone put any significant pressure on it. Wonderful to know that someone knows that your door is weak while you're staying there. Rooms did not have a bathroom either as was advertised. Communal bathrooms. Windows were broken, in that they couldn't be opened past ~10-20% of their maximum in rank smelling rooms. Carpets were stained and TV's were tiny and remotes were sticky and uncleaned. Overall a pretty poor experience. I'm lucky to have survived the single night I spent here. If you can afford it you should pay 90$ on ubering it back home imo rather then staying here.

Had lunch with a friend, then coffee and cake. We sat outside, undercover. Prices are good, food is good, and the cake was delicious! Staff are friendly. Great place to catch up with friends.

Great pub meal with cheap drinks. Make sure to check the daily specials and events to plan your visit to maximise the experience. We went on a Wednesday with 2 for 1 pizza/pub classics.
