There are many ingres points into Mowbray Park. The Avro Rd Entrance has two, when facing Chatswood, on the left is the Enty\Exit to the "Upper Track" which eventually leads towards the Athletics Field, however there are several intersections along the way. If you were wanting to cross the river and continue up the "Great North Walk" past "Fairy Land", this would be the most direct route. The other entry and or exit is slightly off to the right, heading directly towards the Chatswood Skyline in the distance. Infact, this is probably the best, most shortest, and direct route to a fantastic lookout over the entire Park giving you amazing views of the Lane Cove River, the mangroves, and Chatswood CBD Skyline. You are also at the edge of a very high cliff, so care should be exercised, particularly with small children... The track continues to the left and then down one of the most steepest and narrow descents in the Park that will lead directly to a "T" junction at the river. Heading left will lead you past "Judy's Arm" and onto several other options. Right will lead towards the Golf Course along the river or the exit on Avian Crescent past the Scout Hall (the old one).
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
