Look I’ve left a bad review about a year ago and honestly the change since then is probably what could happen on a day to day basis and happy little accidents happen. Today has been transformative in my experience in cafes in general. Feels like a little bit of boutique has met Sydney’s streets in G-Town. Happily enjoyed my delectables and the coffee has improved severely. Love coming here and glad to leave a happier review
My second time here, I tried the Bacon & Egg roll and found it to be of good quality and at a reasonable price. I also really like a flat white here. The creme brulee was so so for me. I suggest the blueberry one instead.
I visited this café on Tuesday afternoon. What I really liked first of all is that there’s no step at the entrance, so people with disabilities can easily get inside. It might seem like a small thing, but it really leaves a good impression. As the name suggests, they actually bake inside the café and display everything fresh. I tried the lemon tart on a friend’s recommendation — and it was delicious. The base wasn’t hard at all, and the lemon curd was just perfect. It melts in your mouth, not overly sour, and has that fresh, balanced flavour that makes you want to keep going back for more. Honestly one of the best I’ve had, since a lot of places either sell it cracked or too sharp. The coffee was also very good. The only downside for me was the seating — the tables are a bit small and the space between people feels tight, which can be a little uncomfortable.
Do not get the miso mushrooms!! I regret not saying something to the staff about this meal, because it was really disappointing. The mushrooms had no flavour or even seasoning. Where was the miso?! The bread was so tough and the whole dish was honestly unpalatable. I ate the poached eggs and what I could just to feel like I got my money’s worth - but nah. I haven’t been here in a few months but the last meal I had definitely had some flavour otherwise we wouldn’t have come back. The coffee here is always good, as well as the service, but the food was a big let down. Looked nice, tasted like nothing.
This is without doubt one of the North Shore’s hidden gems. The coffee is always excellent. The sweet pastry offerings are incredibile - visually stunning and always delicious without being overly sweet (Their plain croissant is just perfection!) Small savoury food menu but all delicious- the chilli scrambled eggs are amazing. Limited space makes it sometimes tricky to get a table- but always worth the wait. Highly recommended if you’re passing through on the Pacific Highway…
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
