The food is always reliable. Chips are plentiful and tasty. Have had many dishes here including schnitzels, burgers, steaks, pastas, tacos, desserts and never been disappointed - except maybe the churros were a little overcooked. Sticky date was delicious (polished off before photo could be taken) and so was the salmon dish. Great for large groups. Kid friendly bad well. Parking can be difficult to find on a Friday or Saturday night. Have also been here with our pooch and he was made to feel very welcome in the front outdoor dining area, the waiter grabbing a bowl of water for him.

A Brilliant Evening for Whisky Lovers, Bruichladdich Whisky Dinner at Greengate Hotel Congratulations to the Greengate Hotel team for putting on such a fantastic event for whisky lovers and aficionados in the north! The Bruichladdich Whisky Dinner was nothing short of exceptional. Nathan, Andy, and Paul certainly know how to put on a show, what an incredible night surrounded by great friends, laughter, and, of course, world-class whisky. With around 30 of us gathered together, the atmosphere was lively and full of genuine passion for the craft. The curated pairing menu was spot on, from the perfectly seared salmon to beautifully cooked lamb (one of my personal favoured at GC), each dish matched flawlessly with carefully selected Bruichladdich expressions, ranging from delightfully sweet to wonderfully peated. Every sip and bite felt like it was designed to impress. The Greengate events team deserves huge credit for the venue setup and seamless experience. Nathan also refreshed the local beer collection, so we could (perhaps a bit too eagerly!) continue exploring fantastic local brews after the main event. Jan and the waitress team delivered impeccable service with style and professionalism, keeping everything running smoothly while ensuring everyone was having fun. To top it all off, we started and ended the event on the balcony, sipping Botanist gin and tonics paired with canapes, chatting as the sun set over the jacaranda trees along the Pacific Highway, a truly special moment. Can’t wait for the next one!

Amazing hotel for a delicious pub feed. Had some great bangers and mash, and my partner had a delicious burger with fries. He had a beer and I had a LLB. The service was super friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was cosy! Definitely going to come back.

Food and ambience were very good. Staff are extremely friendly and kind. It’s not something I see in many places. Special shout out to Nicki Broug who went the extra mile to share a receipt to me via email the next day when i requested.

The steak sandwich was just perfect, chips was ‘OMG so good’. The chicken schnitzel wasn’t the best. I enjoyed the cocktail. Very busy & I would recommend booking for big groups. I recommend this place & would go back.
