I bought the steak and curry pie with tomato sauce. OMG the pie was amazing plenty of juicy tender pieces of steak a lovely curry flavour that was not overpowering and the gravy was thick which is good. Nothing worse than the gravy running everywhere when eating the pie. Highly recommend
I’m a local and have been coming here for a long time and usually always order the same food. Today there was a new girl at the counter. When I asked for a watermelon juice, she told me they only have a “waterberry slush.” I explained that I know this, but I just wanted plain watermelon juice, which I have bought here many times before. She then said she would have to charge me more. When I asked why, she replied, “I feel it should be charged more.” I told her to just charge me the price already listed on the menu. Instead of checking with a manager or clarifying, she kept insisting that she “felt” I should be charged more. I ended up leaving with two watermelon juices and a box of chips that later turned out to be very stale, (possibly refried). There was also no chicken salt on them which had been selected at the time of ordering. What a disappointing experience! I wonder if someone in management can help explain to the lady that food prices are based on quality, portions, and not feelings. If she still feels that their food should be priced higher, perhaps consider improving food quality at the same time.
The cupcake was disappointing — the cake underneath tasted floury, dense, and heavy. Latte…not recommend.
We’ve had work in Gordon for the last few years now and super disappointed we hadn’t made our way to Pottery Green previously, pie and a coffee for under $10.00 which is super rare these days! Pie was hot, tasty with everything you could ask for, coffee is super tasty and expertly crafted. Would recommend and will definitely be returning, thank you!
The cafe is pretty cute, has lots of cute decorations and plants! The both brunch we ordered were okay. Latte was also okay. The green juice was pretty good. The aircon didn’t turn on when we visited, so it was a bit hot inside.
