Nice italian in Newcastle. The calamari is a must for entree, so highly recommend that as a starter they were so tender and tasty. Garlic bread was undercooked without much butter or garlic yet the kids loved it. The hot honey pizza was excellent, so highly recommend it. The gnocchi was disappointing, a bit too firm without much flavour so would not get that next time. The strawberry tiramisu was also disappointing and tasted nothing like a tiramisu so would definitely try the cannoli next time. Would try again. Service and atmosphere were good and was family friendly and well priced. The men’s toilet needs to be fixed and cleaned.
We dined in on a late Sunday lunch during summer and were warmly greeted by the amazing staff, especially Angelie(?). She was incredibly accommodating with our requests and brought such a cheerful, welcoming energy to our visit. We ordered: • Truffle & Parmesan Fries — absolutely delicious! • Mafalda Boscaiola — we love white-sauce pastas and this one did not disappoint. • Beef Cheek — incredibly tender and full of flavour. • Prosciutto Parma — chef’s kiss 🤌 Everything was beautifully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. When we visit in Newcastle, we will definitely be stopping by again to try more dishes. A must try! ⭐️
I have wanted to try this place for a long time. I feel a little let down. We did not book at table and we were a walk in and we were given a table down a small alley way next to an unpainted wall and really not nice. Maybe my fault should booked a table inside the restaurant. I tried the focacca for entree, don't waste your money on this ($11), small serving and nothing special. Maybe spend a little more and go for the olives, Calamari or Chilli prawns which all looked good when coming out to other tables. My main, "Papperdella pasta" was lacking taste and needed something more for it to be good, it was average at best. Good serving size though. The service was excellent, staff were attentive even though they were busy. We might give "In Ferno" another go and order different meals, they were extremely busy and I like supporting local business.
Inferno is our go-to place for special occasions, but also the first choice whenever we’re craving Italian food. Everything about it is beautiful — the quality, the atmosphere, and most importantly the flavours. From appetisers right through to desserts, every dish is high quality and absolutely packed with flavour — in the best way possible! You can really tell the care that goes into each plate. An amazing Italian restaurant and always a standout experience. Highly recommend!
What a treat! Every dish we sampled was thoughtfully crafted, beautifully presented, and packed with bold, delicious flavours The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was clear how much passion and creativity has gone into the new offerings. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience-and if this preview is anything to go by, newy foodies are in for a serious treat! Can't wait to come back and try the full menu!!!
