Make no mistake, some of their cakes rival what I have tasted in Paris, including Pierre Hermé… no joke, no exaggeration. Photos are of the Lemon & Salted Caramel Flan, taken at home, not at the patisserie. The flourless chocolate mousse cake with soft caramel centre is extraordinary & the danish pastries are flaky, crispy and taste phenomenal. I could go on but there is not enough space, besides, you should pick your own favourite. The place itself looks unassuming, other than the monstrous line during peak Autumn season; which is beautiful by the way. Regulars like myself may get a little annoyed at all of the people taking up space to take photos & taking all of the parking spaces on the street but I know, I know… we must share the love 🤭
Located at Shop 7, Grand Arcade, Bong Bong Street, Bowral, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 Talk about Decadence! Such an amazing selection of mouth watering parties and cakes. They all looked so delicious and so hard to choose. Ideally situated in the centre of town, very hard to walk past. It was my first time visiting as I was on a short holiday in the Southern Highlands and this was recommended. So glad I took their advice. You can obviously take your purchase away or you can sit at one of their tables just outside the patisserie. You can pair this with a coffee or tea. I would definitely recommend visiting. My cakes were delicious. 😋 Thumbs Up! 👍
When we got there, there was a waiting line but it wasn’t too long. Inside, there were so much pastries to choose from and everything looked good! We ordered Almond croissant, a pie (forgot the name, it had a cheese on the name 😅), hot mocha, and 2 pastries for take away. And guess what, we love everything we ordered! And they are not pricey, another thing we loved here! Hahahaha A really must try cafe when you go to Bowral area 👏🏼🫶
My son asked me to do a review for Gumnut. Honestly they don't need it because it's an institution! The family enjoyed ham cheese croissant, sausage rolls and then a delicious selection of deserts (at breakfast!) The staff had been extremely kind and invited my daughter in when she was nervous. Nothing like kind people to add to an experience. If you're heading to Bowral. You can't miss Gumnut.
Just died and gone to heaven. This creme brulee croissant was divine. Full of smooth creamy custard, surrounded by delicious crispy pastry. Nice coffee. Good value for money and lovely service. Highly recommend.
