Kookabar Cafe is a cafe in Bowral. It hasn't yet been confirmed as dog-friendly, so it's best to check with the venue before visiting.
The big breakfast and chilli eggs were great. Coffee was well made, staff very friendly. We sat outside with our dog and they bought water for him. Short walk to Corbett Park to stretch our legs.
It's a nice cafe with a good service. Unfortunately the food quality was not that impressive. The stake in the sandwich was overcooked and chewy, and the chicken pie was a bit watery.
The steak sandwich was divine. Very fresh and incredible flavour. We’d come back just for this! Thank you!
Best carrot cake, best scones, best smiles, and best service! These four winning combinations make Kookabar my favourite cafe in the whole of Australia.
We used to come here years ago when passing through Bowral and have no idea why we stopped coming in for a meal as it is still a fantastic little place to eat. The service is great and the food is great quality. We came though on a busy weekend for Bowral and yet this little gem was quiet - which is a shame for the owners but good for us. Tucked away from the main street it is without a doubt the best value, in our opinion, for a relaxing meal away from the hustle and bustle of Bowral. Definitely will be back when we come back through (a bit embarrassed as to why we stopped coming here in the first place). Keep up the good work and merci beaucoup!
We check council regulations, official sources, and community reviews to verify dog access at every venue. Access may change — always check on-site signage. Something wrong or missing? Submit feedback. How it works.
