What people say
A smaller scale dog park located next to Berowra Heights Shopping Village. The park has two double gates entrances, a cabana with seating, elevated large wooden ‘’dog table’ and water tap that often has a small play pool nearby. Unfortunately this dog park has had problems in 2023 / 2024 where many dog loving owners had to stop using the dog park due to one rogue dog owner. When you have a irresponsible dog owner bring 6 dogs and at times many more than this to the dog park for much of the day it sets up a situation where the pack of dogs start to accept that the dog park is their home. It’s a classic case of how one person wrecking the dog park for all the other users. It drove many dog owners in Berowra to use other parks to let their dogs have unleashed freedom. In 2022 the dog park had a section changed into synthetic turf. This did solve one problem of an area that was either a mud patch or dust bowel. Synthetic grass looks amazing but in direct sunlight it gets very hot🥵. So if your dog has sensitive little paws you need to be careful on synthetic grass in Summer.
Ok dog park. Nice, central spot with plenty of parking. Fairly small. Does have double gates, which is a huge plus.
Small grassy park next to the Berowra Heights shopping centre that incorporates the local off-leash dog park. Generally quiet as I don’t think many people know about it. Not much to see or do but if you’re looking to kill half an hour or so while your wife does the grocery shopping it’s a pleasant spot to grab a coffee and sit for a while to contemplate the universe.
