What people say
Done up really well for the Festival of Fishers Ghost. Family friendly. Public toilets. Close to shops and Campbelltown Showground.
Many years ago, Mawson Park had a reputation (perhaps not entirely deserved) of being a place that was best avoided, being the haunt of druggies, drunks, and vagrants. Today it is a pleasant family-friendly place, a true ornament to Campbelltown. The lawns are well maintained, as are the various garden beds located around the park. Of particular note are the shrubs that are situated along the Queen Street boundary of the park, these are neatly trimmed, an example of the skilful work of the council workers who are responsible for this task. There are also several mature trees located within the park. Other features include a small children's playground, several park benches, some tables, footpaths that criss-cross the park, an automated toilet block, and a small war memorial that is the focal point of annual Anzac Day commemorations. The memorial features a sandstone obelisk and three military artefacts that represent the Airforce, Army, and Navy.
This is a small but beautiful park with lots of interest. The playground is always being used which is lovely. The grass is always cut and the gardens are well maintained. The dogs love a stroll there and the cenotaph and war memorials are beautiful.
Lovely park with a good playground for kids. It features a few nice sculptures and flowers too.
A very nice park for young kids, especially if you live nearby. It’s quiet, clean, green, and very well maintained. My kids love coming here! There’s a fair amount of seating available for parents to relax and keep an eye on their children. Definitely a 5-star park.
