Marco Reserve is a park in Panania with plenty of shade. Dog access isn't confirmed, but it may be worth checking.

Dog rules

Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Field 1 and 2 was great for cricket couldcpaek next to the field and had shade from trees all day. The other fields are also good condition in cricket season.

Peaceful and beautiful. Enough parking and spaces available throughout the week. Great grass management.

It's ok to go for a run or walk your furry friend but this is the problem with council in this area, it's not a park with locals in council's mind, 1 bin for garbage in the whole park (near the playground on the East Hills end, not 1 bin or bags for dog poo although most people like me carry our own but then we carry them back to the car. Having lived in the Eastern suburbs before these things are basic facilities to make our area more welcoming instead, unfortunately we live in a less appealing area because council likes it like that, no intention of educating locals and developing better lifestyles. Then the people who use the fields leave the rubbish on the ground because they're dirty but also because all the bloody bins are locked up in a cage! seriously
