Forrester Reserve is a park in Kingsgrove with plenty of shade. Dog access isn't confirmed, but it may be worth checking.

Dog rules

–Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Good and great park!! Love it! Forrester Reserve and the playground is good and has good and mainted play equipment for kids and children, PLEASE NOTE THAT — THERE IS NOT PUBLIC RESTROOMS/TOILETS OR AMENITIES OF THAT, Council should build toilets in future or soon(er) - take note council and people/users, I am not sure about the Dog-friendliness but dogs there are friendly and reallyy cute but must be on a leash I think according to Forrester Reserve rules. Good and OK for picnicking, but needs more seating. Forrester Reserve is good for having a break after cycling or walking or after whatever.
