Dog rules

–Canterbury-Bankstown City Council's "Pet-friendly parks and reserves" page states: "please remember to keep your dog on a leash unless the reserve is classified as a 'dog off-leash area'." The council's "Animals and pets" page summarises this as: "Keeping your dog on a leash, unless in a designated off-leash area." This venue is not on Canterbury-Bankstown's published off-leash list, so the council's general on-leash rule applies under the NSW Companion Animals Act 1998. Lovely quiet park. Ample parking. Toilets could do with a scrub though.

Update: still a great quiet local park. Hoops still good. They have added grass Bocce lanes!! Great local park. Small fenced play area with good condition equipment for the little ones. BBQ facilities. Public toilets. Off from the road. Quiet street. Grass area to run around. Court area for full court netball or basketball. Or for learning to ride a bike.

Good and bad. It has got clean toilets which are opened for the public, the kids playground is enclosed for kids safety which is good. There is also very close and easy access parking. Gas BBQ is also provided with bins as well to keep the place clean. The basketball courts are a joke. They don't even have proper lines and there is tree branches hanging down too which get in the way. The rings have no nets or damaged nets. There is only one picnic table for the whole park, the batting area roof is collapsing and needs repair. There is a tree near the toilets which is jam packed full of bees. There is also ants near the bench seats. I sat down for 30 seconds and looked down to see 1000 ants on my shoes. Its a nice quiet atmosphere, it looks like there is a new function centre for community use, I'm pretty sure that's where all the money allocated for the park has been spent. Only stayed for about 5min. After the ants episode and also the thousands of small bugs around plus the bees, There was nothing here to enjoy.

Coached netball here. Good courts. Toilets good. After rain though the ground around the court gets really muddy and yucky. But otherwise a nice, clean park. Parking available including disabled parking.
