If you’re searching for a true gem in Blacktown’s café scene, The Old Boy should be at the top of your list! This charming café blends warm hospitality, creative flavours, and a relaxed vibe into every visit, making it a favourite for breakfast, brunch, or a leisurely coffee catch-up. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted by friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere that feels like a home away from home — complete with lush greenery, inviting décor, and plenty of natural light. The menu is a delightful celebration of fresh, flavourful food — think perfectly balanced smashed avo, indulgent French toast, sizzling chorizo hot pot, and other dishes that are both imaginative and comforting. Their coffee program is top-notch, too: smooth, beautifully crafted brews that pair perfectly with sweet or savoury brunch classics. Whether you’re fueling a busy day or lingering longer over conversations with friends, the coffee here really hits the mark. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the genuine care you feel in every interaction — attentive service, thoughtful plating, and that little something extra that makes regulars keep coming back. The outdoor seating is dog-friendly, so you can even bring your furry companion along for the adventure. In short, The Old Boy is more than just a café — it’s a delightful destination where great food, excellent coffee, and warm hospitality come together to create memorable moments. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Blacktown, this place is not to be missed!

This cafe is the text book definition of “hidden gem”. It’s located in a suburban setting but the food and service would hold their own in a CBD location. The food was innovative without being pretentious. The chorizo hot pot was seriously good. The service was very friendly and efficient. Now we know about it we will definitely be back.

Is there anything better than stumbling across a cosy cafe on a winters day when you've got time to kill? This place is my idea of the perfect cafe. The food (I had the smashed avo) was fresh and full of flavour, the service was superb while the decor took me back to sitting at my friend's kitchen table in London. Unfortunately I don't live in the area but anytime I'm back at Blacktown International Sports Park rather than sitting in the stands waiting for my kids to take the field this is where you'll find me. Only problem is it's so cosy I won't want to leave and may miss their game!

We went to the Old Boy over the weekend as we had visitors from overseas. It was honestly the best cafe experience I've had in a long time and our visitors agreed too. Food was delicious and the coffee was so smooth and delicious. Definitely recommend the Deep South, Mushroom and Kale and the French Toast. Can't wait to go back.

Today, I took my family on a trip to Sydney Zoo, and before we arrived, we stopped by The Old Boy Café for breakfast. I was genuinely surprised to find such a charming and cozy café in Blacktown. The place had a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. They went out of their way to recommend a suitable meal for my daughter, which I deeply appreciated. My partner and I ordered the truffle eggs and the hot pot chorizo—both dishes were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The café itself was tastefully decorated with a variety of lush plants that added a refreshing and natural vibe to the space. The coffee was not only brewed to perfection but also presented with an artistic touch—something that is surprisingly rare to find in the local area. Everything about the café was clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms, which is always a good sign of attention to detail and care. It’s clear that the owners and staff take great pride in what they do. I highly recommend The Old Boy Café to anyone visiting or passing through Blacktown. It’s a hidden gem that offers great food, lovely coffee, excellent service, and a relaxing ambiance—an experience that truly exceeded my expectations.
