Ever since Rhondalynn stepped in at Lalor Park Hotel, the difference has been huge. The whole vibe of the place has lifted — it’s welcoming, well run, and the food has been consistently great. She clearly takes pride in what she’s doing, and it shows. The team she’s built are just as solid — polite, efficient, and always making sure my family is looked after. Big turnaround and a great local spot now. Definitely recommend.
Since Rhondalynn has taken over at Lalor Park Tavern, the whole place has completely transformed. The atmosphere, the service, the food — everything has changed for the better. It truly feels like a warm, welcoming family food restaurant now. Rhondalynn herself is such a beautiful, genuine person. She made my family and I feel so comfortable and cared for from the moment we arrived. You can see how much heart she puts into the place. Her staff are just as lovely — so friendly, attentive and always smiling. They went above and beyond for my family, making sure we had everything we needed and more. Nothing was too much trouble. We are so grateful for the experience and can’t recommend Lalor Park Tavern highly enough. It’s amazing to see how much it has improved under Rhondalynn’s leadership 🤍
Just visited for the first time in years to have dinner with friends and kids. The bistro area is beautiful. Warm and inviting. Di was absolutely lovely and made us yummy Martini cocktails. The food (Salmon and cheeseburger) was delicious and we will definitely be returning to try out some other dishes. As a chocoholic, I was a bit disappointed with the dessert selection though. Whack a warm chocolate pudding on there and this will turn into 5 stars very quickly. And maybe some pool tables to keep the teenagers entertained so the grown ups can relax. We will definitely be back.
Had dinner at the Lalor Park Hotel. We tried the steak, prawn linguine, flathead and chips, and the salt and pepper squid. The steak was cooked perfectly as requested. The flathead and chips were good – not fishy, and the chips were crispy. The salt and pepper squid was a standout – really tender with a light, crispy batter; we even got a second serve! The prawn linguine, while delicious, was quite small and definitely not enough for an average adult's main. Service was great – friendly and helpful. Finished with good coffees and hot chocolates on a cold night. Overall, a good pub meal, just be mindful of the pasta portion size.
Atmosphere was very nice, quite upmarket. Went on a Thursday night and it was dead quiet. Food and pre-made drinks came reasonably quickly but the cocktails took a long time. Not a very extensive menu but they had the pub staples and the food was fine. This place has only very recently reopened so I might update this review when it's been a few months.
