What people say
One of the last remaining natural stands of Australian flora and fauna in the western suburbs. Great place to get away from the crowd and back to nature. Make sure you wear the right clothing for any adventures here.
Hard to believe that you are so close to a busy, residential area. I've lived in Emu for years and didn't know this place existed until today. Such a nice, peaceful reserve. Had a walk up to the train lines and explored a bit. Will definitely visit again.
Visited this tranquil spot this autumnal morning in May, it is magical. With all the rainy weather these past few months it has thrived with overgrowth everywhere. We sat by the creek and enjoyed listening to the native birds and the running water falling over the stones. This lil gem will definitely be a favourite spot to visit regularly. Carnt wait to see it in bloom in the spring.
Beautiful nature reserve. Nestled behind some houses in Emu Plains lies sleepy Bellbird Reserve. In its former life, it was a convict farm at the base of the Blue Mountains serving the Nepean Region. Evidence of convict engineering still exists today with stone retaining walls and culverts still intact and preserved in their original state of construction. Today the area is an abundant conservation reserve.
