Last night’s dinner at The Kurrajong Hotel – Pub & Dining was outstanding from start to finish. The venue strikes the perfect balance between a true local and something genuinely elevated — the ambience, design, and fit-out are refined, warm, and thoughtfully done. Service was a highlight. Mel (one of the owners) was welcoming and attentive, creating that rare feeling of being both looked after and completely at ease. Lauren, our server, was terrific — friendly, professional, and perfectly timed throughout the night. The food more than delivered. The barramundi was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, and the frozen piña coladas were spot on — fun, generous, and exactly what you want with dinner. It’s genuinely exciting to have another option in Erko — and one that feels a little more polished than The Rose and The Erko, while still keeping that local, relaxed spirit. The Kurrajong exceeded expectations. We also had a look at the hotel rooms and they’re really special — beautifully finished and a perfect option for parents or friends visiting from out of town. Love our new local. Highly recommended. And you can bring your dog inside!!!

I was in Sydney for business and all the city hotels were obscenely expensive, so I ended up at the newly renovated Kurrajong Hotel. AWESOME stay. Room was comfy and quiet with dual glazing. I looked over the park and was a treat to watch the world wake up with kids and dogs out walking. I had two meals in the restaurant and they were both excellent and received 10% discount as well. What I loved in the downstairs pub was the vibrant and eclectic nature of the patrons. A table of burly tatoo'd locals, mingled with elegantly dressed fine diners, a mum and her daughter, some business workers, a number of dating couples PLUS live Brazilian music; an electric guitar, a tuba, flute and a ukulele! I realised if I was in Barcelona or Sao Paulo I would be speaking about this mix for years. Excellent night. Thanks to wait staff Johnny, Mia, Pasquale, Noah and of course Ali who booked me in and was very attentive. Well trained and efficient staff, serving excellent daily specials (outrageous fish n chips and churrasco on Tuesday . Train station 200 metres away to the city.

Simple the best evening you can have in the Inner West. Fancy but not too fancy, great taste on dishes (very well curated). Kudos to staff and service. Johnny (the manager) is super caring and a great guy to have a chat! Food recommendations: Churrasco Chuesday (excellent Brazilian meat skewers), lobster nuggets and tuna tartare (you cannot miss this one!) .

Great decision to visit. The food was outstanding. I could stop there but I won’t, so much more to say! Soft juicy and incredibly tasty burger that didn’t fall apart, so juicy, cracking sauce and loved the pickle, just perfect. Schnitzel that was massive! It was crispy and moist with a beautiful pepper sauce. Both had shoestring fries that were crispy and flavourful. Very nice atmosphere with oceans eleven vibe music with a very friendly and warm welcome, staff were very helpful and attentive. One of the best pub feeds we’ve had in a long time.
